Kristina von Hoffmann is a Venice, CA, native passionate about human-focused, practical strategies for addressing climate impacts, particularly within her hometown of Los Angeles and throughout California. As a member of the senior leadership team, Kristina is responsible for oversight of finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, and the administrative policies and procedures of the organization.

She contributes to the strategic vision of the organization in support of the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, ensuring that Climate Resolve’s day-to-day operational and programmatic functions are in line with its long-term goals. To this end, Kristina serves as a leader and partner in Climate Resolve’s development and communications departments. With her extensive events management experience, Kristina is also proud to produce the organization’s annual Coolest in LA gala, a lively and classy fundraising celebration that she has directed since 2018, sustaining and developing relationships with the organization’s supporting partners along the way. Kristina has helped grow the organization sustainably over 200% since joining in 2016, and enjoys getting to interface with each member of the team in the many facets of her role. A holistic health advocate, Kristina has had a private yoga instruction practice since 2013 primarily serving elders and corporate teams. She imbues this training into her work at Climate Resolve, seeking to foster a welcoming, supportive, and equitable workplace for all staff and associates.

Prior to Climate Resolve, Kristina served as the Associate Director for the Alliance for Climate Education (ACE)’s West Coast region, where she helped fulfill the organization’s mission to educate and inspire the next generation of climate leaders. While at ACE, Kristina managed the organization’s top-performing teams in Northern and Southern CA, and led a collaborative campaign between Mayor Garcetti’s Office of Sustainability, City Plants, TreePeople, and youth leaders to increase tree canopy and foster community education about carbon sequestration across Los Angeles. Kristina personally delivered ACE’s award-winning climate science assembly to 100,000+ students and organized hundreds of them to take action via in-person leadership conferences and on-campus mentoring. Kristina also previously served on staff at Three Squares Inc., a global leader in green event production and consulting services, where she helped coordinate the first-ever Women in Green Forum and the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator’s Global Showcase.

Kristina graduated Cum Laude from Scripps College with a dual BA in Environmental Policy and French Language. She is a devotee of hip hop and local farmers’ markets, and serves on the Board of the Venice Heritage Foundation with whom she is actively working to build the first-ever museum for the historic city of Venice, California.
